and Hyman Mitchell in 1916. The firm today is one of the largest
independent agencies in the Western United States.
C.T. Buckman,
who died in 1978, is a Visalia legend. Known for his colorful
personality and for his world-renowned hunting - he authored "75
Years With a Shotgun" -
C.T. Buckman became a leader in the California insurance
business. He served
as president of
the Independent Insurance Agents Association of California
in 1933.
